It was mid of August, on the serene and picturesque Pender Island, we had the pleasure of filming the most enchanting wedding at The Poet’s Cove Resort. The journey began when the lovely Nina reached out to us, inquiring about our wedding videography services. From our first conversation, we were thrilled to be a part of what promised to be an intimate and beautiful celebration.
The sailing
The wedding day arrived with the kind of perfect weather that dreams are made of. Our team packed up our gear and headed to Ladysmith Marina, where we would board a yacht to take us to Pender Island. The excitement was palpable as we loaded our equipment and set sail. The sea stretched out before us like a vast, calm blue blanket, and the morning breeze was simply delightful. From the middle of the ocean, the view of the islands was breathtaking.
As we approached The Poet’s Cove Resort, the island’s lush greenery and crystal-clear blue waters awestruck us. The stunning resort perched majestically overlooking the sea. Mike, the groom, greeted us warmly, and we quickly admired the beautiful ceremony setup. White chairs lined the path to a charming arch, creating a perfect aisle for the bride’s grand entrance.
Our next stop was the villa where Nina was getting ready. She was an absolute vision, radiating joy and anticipation. We couldn’t wait to start capturing the magic of her big day. Time flew by, and soon it was time for the ceremony. Our team set up cameras to cover every angle, ensuring no precious moment would be missed.
The moment we’ve been waiting
Mike made his way down the aisle, and everyone held their breath, eagerly awaiting Nina’s arrival. Then, in a moment that felt straight out of a fairy tale, Nina arrived in a golf cart, her smile lighting up the entire scene. The look on Mike’s face was priceless—pure emotion and love.
After the ceremony, we took the newlyweds for a special filming session to create a beautiful story of their love. We drove a few minutes to a stunning beach, capturing moments that would become cherished memories. Despite the humid weather, the couple’s easygoing nature made our job an absolute joy.
Once we wrapped up the creative shoot, we headed back to The Poet’s Cove Resort. We joined Mike and Nina for a delightful lunch at Aurora Restaurant, where the food was simply divine. As we chatted, we got to know the couple better, adding a personal touch to our work.
A little treat for us
As the afternoon sun began to set, it was time for us to head back. Boarding the yacht once more, we were treated to a scenic route by the helmsman, who graciously took us on a journey showcasing even more of the island’s beauty.
